The Sims 4 doesn't have sound

@Panellifa  Please try a different sound output device, for example headphones that use a different connection type than the speakers, and let me know whether the sound keeps working.  Please also let me know if there's any pattern to when the sound stops working, for example when you alt-tab out of the game, or you leave it paused for a certain amount of time.

I actually don't have another output device. These speakers are the only one I have that are working. It's the game I want fix that has no sound.

Also, yesterday the sound stopped playing after I paused the game to go do something I had to do for my mom. I was gone for about 2 hours or so and came back to find the sound stopped again.

@Panellifa  So you don't own headphones or earbuds that you could plug into the computer, even just as a test?

Does the game lose sound other than when you leave it paused for a while?  It's not all that rare for a program to stop working exactly right when the computer has been left idle and might be trying to sleep or otherwise go into low-power mode.
