The sims 4 install on two PC's?

Hi 🙂 My girl bought Sims4 online to play on her dads computer.

She asked if she could play it here ( at her mums ) as well. We downloaded Origin and installed Sims and at start up it is now asking her to create new characters.
I really don't know enough about games to help her ~ but she is really worried that if she created new characters her creations: on her dads computer will be deleted.
can any one offer any advice please ? Many thanks Ez

  • When you say she cant play it at the same time does that mean the game she started at her dads must stay at her dads unless the details are transferred to my computer?
She can't play it at the same time, as in, she can't start the game at her moms house and also at her dad house, one of the games will give an error when that would happen.

If she starts a new world here she would in essence have two different worlds to play with at her different homes - but the two wouldn't interfere with each other?

Indeed. She can play 2 different games with different save files.
Or she can make a back up and take the back up with her to the home she is going to.
Depends on what she prefers, two different games or one and the same game.

So you know, you can install the game on both devices with the same Origin account you first installed with. For the first computer you need to give the serial. For the second computer, you can find the game in 'my games' and install it through there.

  • No you can install it on multiple devices, but you can't play it at the same time.

You'll have save files that are different on each computer.
But she could make 1 game and just back it up on a USB or disk and put the save file on the computer she is at.
So her games can come with her to her moms house and her dads house.

Here is a handy post about creating back ups and what the files do:

don't want to steer her wrong as I'm sure she would be upset if I gave her the wrong advice.

Many thanks again for your time .
