The Sims 4 Keeps Randomly Closing - No Error Codes

Allo!

Alright, soooo, I feel like I have done everything and have had no success. I am almost 100% sure my PC has moooore than enough meets the requirements to be able to play. I have reset my PC to factory. I have done every update under the sun I could find through many different scans. I have turned off all my Keyboard, mouse and PC case lights (Which is upsetting, why pay out the butt for it to look nice only to not even be able to use them). I have also turned off ANY type of overlays from ANY apps/programs (Which is next to none might I add). I have run a fresh install of the Sims 4 with no saves, no mods, no CC, NOTHING and it still crashes after a short time. Even when these crashes first started I never ran any mods or CC, just the standard retail versions.

These crashes started a little while before the new expansion update, roughly mid June and I have had a few different updates since and still no fixes. Even tried buying the newest expansion thinking I was starting to have too large of a gap between content and new coding. Nope, it still keeps crashing and closing itself down randomly. Sometimes within seconds of opening the game, sometimes a 10-15 minutes, sometimes if I am super lucky, I can make it to about an hour or so of playing. I am usually in build mode when i crashes.

I have attached my DxDiag in hopes someone can help.

  • @ph_ot_op77  Other players with hardware similar to yours have said that disabling XMP and the CPU turbo boost in BIOS has helped with their crashing issues.  I'm not sure how many options Alienware BIOS offers, but please have a look around; in particular, turbo boost may be hidden somewhere.

I haven't seen any recent reports of RGB software interfering with Sims 4, so you can probably reenable it, but I'd wait until the game was stable again just to be thorough.
