The Sims 4 Price

Hi guys

So I don't really know what I'm doing with this I just had to get my thoughts out there online. So I bought the Sims 4 ages ago for £20 and was really excited and just installed and played it. I've got about 50 hours in now and I'm only just starting to check out the DLC and Stuff Packs and whatever and I was horrified to discover that for a standard copy of the Sims 4 EA is charging 50 god damn pounds. That's about $72. I'll just let that sink in. £50 for a game that was released in 2014. GTA V was released in 2013 and the most expensive price I found for it was £40 which is roughly $58. I could not BELIEVE they were allowed to get away with charging such outrageous prices for what is now a relatively old game. And for the DLC The Sims: Get Together it costs you £30! That's around $43. Am I the only one wanting nothing to do with EA any more? Am I the only one horrified by this outrageous pricing? Also for the Digital Deluxe version that contains all the DLCs they are charging £60! £60! That's about $87!!! That's loads and loads of your hard earned cash just wasted on a game that was released in 2014. And to be honest for what igt is, I would only pay £30 for the Digital Deluxe version anyway. Well that's my rant over now. Please get back to me with your thoughts or go and berate EA over why they are charging so much for The Sims 4.

because you cant spell steal with out EA

  • AHQ is not the place to debate EA's pricing policy. It is was it is and this is a player help player platform for issues with the game.

Where I live, it would cost me $50 to go to a movie that lasts 2 hours (in 3d). So, a game that gave me over 1000 hours of game play, I don't think it's that expensive.

But you can always wait for sales. There have been many and you seem to have been able to take advantage of it.

I am aware of this and as I said I don't really know where to put my thoughts and I just had to get this out there because I thought that £50 for a game that was released almost two years ago was too steep a price. As I said, GTA V is nearly 3 years old and you can pick it up at your local CEX for £25. This is just my opinion, I don't want to start an online war or offend anyone or anything, I just wanted to express how I feel about this pricing which in my view, is too steep.
