The sims 4 takes forever to load

So here is the deal, my game lagged so much while playing so I decided to did that thing with moving my whole the sims 4 folder and let the game create a new one. Open the game with no lag at all even with my mods folder with 40+ GB but a couple of days later my the sims 4 will not load at all I have waited for 1,5h. My first the sims 4 folder didn't have that problem. I decided to check all "readable" files but I am not a programmer so I don't know what this means but in config.log Numboots now is set to 18 while earlier It was set to 521 and it's the only defence between two files should I change that? What does it mean? I do have the first folder but the first problem would come again and the second one can come back too especially when I don't know what costs it. I know my laptop does not apply to all requirements but it should take like 5 minutes longer and not 1,5 hours. I will post the same post on general discussion & feedback.

@emaki-milkowska  Your dxdiag lists a number of Windows update errors which might not be related to the Sims 4 issue but should still be addressed.  Please run a couple of basic checks on your Windows system files:

    • Hit Windows key-X
    • Choose either “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Command prompt (Administrator),” whichever option is offered
    • Inside the window that appears, copy and paste “DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth” without quotes into the window, and enter
    • The system will start validating soon. If it throws an error, please list it here
    • After it reaches 100%, hit Windows key-X again
    • Again, choose “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Command prompt (Administrator)”
    • Inside the window, copy and paste “sfc /scannow” without quotes into the window, and enter
    • Post the message you receive here

Restart your computer, hit Windows key-, select Update & Security, and click the box to check for updates.  If anything installs, restart again afterwards.

Next, try to play, again letting the game create a (new) clean Sims 4 folder.  If it takes more than 15 minutes for the game to load, you can kill it in the Task Manager, or if you can't make the TM show up, hit crtl-alt-delete and sign out. which will take you back to the login screen.

Next, try playing while your computer is not connected to the internet.  Sign into Origin and put it in offline mode, then disable wifi and/or disconnect the ethernet cable before pressing Play.  Again, if the game takes more than 15 minutes to load, force-close it instead of waiting.

  • @emaki-milkowska  How long does the game take to load in a clean Sims 4 folder with no mods at all?  I understand you want to play with your mods and custom content, but it's useful to establish a baseline for loading times and go from there.

  • I think around 30-40 minutes to get to the save. But like I was saying I don't think it's the case because the other folder didn't have that issue at all.

  • Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them.
For online repairs, details are included in the CBS log file located at
windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For offline
