The Sims 4 will not launch via the desktop shortcut or origin
How does one use the Origin client to have a new game shortcut placed back on the desktop?
I didn't see an option for it anywhere...

I don't think there is one. However, if you check C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games for your Sims 4 folder, you can just send the ts4.exe link to the desktop as a shortcut.

Is this solved for you ? Not sure what you mean about the inquisition remark. Was it supposed to be about DAI ? Should work similar with another exe
