The Sims 4 won't launch on Steam Deck. NO MODS/CCs

yes, i restarted it, it was the first thing i did. i tried playing it again with a new save file, but then i quitted the game, and when i wanted to open it again, it won't launch. this happened after the new update. 

i can play other games on my Steam Deck, except the Sims 4.

5f9092eef2bd0dcf​  For your saves, I don't know where they're stored on a Steam Deck or why they'd have been removed.  It's not typical for this data to disappear when the game is uninstalled in Windows, but that's obviously not an analogous setup.

As for why it stops launching, have you restarted the Deck?  Sometimes the EA App won't let a game launch a second time until after a restart, again on PC, but maybe it's relevant in this case.  Usually when a game works once but not afterwards, the problem is either an antivirus or some program still running in the background rather than closing fully.  I haven't seen reports of security-related issues on the Deck, so the latter is more likely.

i'm having the same issue. i'm using Steam Deck. tried everything on google, but the last thing i tried was uninstall and reinstall the Sims 4, it finally launched but all my save files data are lost 😭 i'm heartbroken. and then, i tried playing a new save, and i tested it if i quit, is it gonna launch again. and turned out, it didn't launch again! i'm so frustrated right now.

does anyone know how to recover my save files 😭?
