there is a problem with your games setup. Please

can’t open sims

it keeps saying there is a problem with your games setup. Please reinstall your game.

I have it linked to steam because that’s where all my dlc is at and i can’t use base game because it doesn’t transfer dlc. i’ve deleted all mods / cc and reinstalled multiple times resetting my computer idk what else to do. help !! i just want to play 🥲

@spamsushi23 What antivirus do you use? Does it help to (temporarily) disable the antivirus and then repair the game through Steam? The option should be something like Properties > Local files > Verify integrity of the game files, but I don't have a Steam install to compare. The repair option is definitely somewhere though.
