Thread stuck in driver
I have played sims for many years and I have faced thread stuck in driver error before. I updated my drivers and it worked perfectly.
When playing the game it has been coming up with the error again. I have checked several times and none of my drivers need updating apparently. My laptop is updated as well.
I thought to uninstall the game and try downloading it again but now it does it even when i’m trying to download.
Can anyone think of what I need to do next?
Thanks
@reggieblackcat12 Don't worry about the error report for now; I see the BlueScreens in your dxdiag. The most obvious issue is that your laptop doesn't have a proper graphics driver installed, so it's using the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter instead. That's enough to slow down anyone's game. But you can just download the newest driver from AMD:
It's possible you'll get an error when trying to install it. Sometimes, laptop software blocks drivers that aren't delivered by the laptop manufacturer. In that case, go here:
https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers
Enter your laptop's serial number, and look for a VGA driver from AMD.
Restart your computer after installing the driver and before trying to play. If you get another error, let me know what it says.
