Solved

Time jumps backwards

Posting this for my friend.

Since yesterday she came across a few bugs that really hinder her gameplay.

Problem:
Whenever the game switches to cheetah mode while at work or sleeping, the game suddenly jumps back in time. Which means the health bars go back to how they were at that time. After that the motions won't go up as fast as before, so the sim never wakes up rested enough for work etc.

What we've done this far:
Updated her graphic drivers, started a vanilla game (renewed the sims 4 folder), deleted all her save files, emptied her tray folder, the cache folder was already empty so there was nothing to delete there, removed localthumbcache.package, removed MCCC (since it had a new update recently and with new updates come new bugs), she repaired her game yesterday. We tried it with mods/cc, without mods/cc, repaired again today after all those other steps.
Only thing we can still try as far as our knowledge goes now is to completely reinstall the game...

I've been googling for the past 5 hours and we can't seem to fix this.

Is there anyone that also had/has this bug and has some kind of solution?? Or any idea what might cause this??

I hope someone can help her/us because the game is not fun to play with this bug being active.

  • Hi @crinrict !

Weird thing is, she removed her old save file and started a new one to start a legacy...
    The bug is gone...

So now we don't have any of the files of the old save file, and we have no clue what solved the issue O.o

    eh. yeah..

  • Hi @crinrict!

Just a message to let you know I've read your reply and I'm waiting for that friend with the bug to get online to fetch her data 🙂

Just making sure you know I did not forget it and I'm not rude hahaha.

Glad you solved the issue for now. It's possible that starting a new save got rid of the bug. No guarantees that it won't come back after a while.

Feel free to repost if it does.

Going to mark this as solved for now.

  • I’m having this issue in my scenario’s save file right now and nothing seems to fix it.

    Hi @Editingbynikki,

This thread is a few years old, what worked then may not work now. Please pop open a new thread with current information, we'll close this one out in the meantime.

    Thank you,
