@morldorie You can certainly try tranferring the game's program files from your laptop to your PC. You'd then at least want the EA App to repair the game on the PC. From what I've seen, this process is not completely reliable but does work some of the time. If you don't like the results, you can cancel the App's progress and try again.
Just as an example, I did two fresh installs of Sims 4 last night as I was trying to test something. Both times, I copied the game's program files elsewhere on my computer, then uninstalled through the App. The first time, the App verified, without downloading, the base game and one of the expansions I had installed, and it downloaded a fresh copy of the other expansion. The other time, it just verified everything. So if you're willing to try a few times, you might get this to work. But like I said, having backups so you can try again is a good idea.
