transferring sims4 expansion packs to my new laptop
Hi how do you transfer expansion packs to a new laptop? I originally played on laptop already but i got a newer one that can run games better, i dont mind not transferring cc or my households to my new laptop i just mainly want my expansion packs to transfer over as i dont want to rebuy them especially when most were birthday/ Christmas gifts, any information about this is talking about ORIGIN but i use the EA app? Im really confused, any help is appreciated. Thanks !
@GlitterUnicorn39 Your DLC belongs to your EA account, not your computer. So you don't need to do anything special to access it on the new laptop. Just make sure you're signing into the same EA account as you've been doing on the old machine, and everything you've purchased should be available for download.
If you do want to transfer your user data, it's all located in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4. I would suggest transferring only the subfolders you want to keep (saves, Mods, Tray for the saved households and builds), and zipping the folders before moving them. You can use an external drive, or you can upload each folder to cloud storage (Google Drive, OneDrive, etc.) and download them on your new computer.
