I hope there isn't like.. a time limit or anything on these reports, cuz I haven't been able to get someone to help me go through all those steps yet to see if my game is still broken.. You might *think* that I can do it by myself, but I can promise you, I would find a way to permanently break my game and my computer.. Don't ask how, cuz even I don't know.. I'm just really technologically incompetent. I know how to open and close things and play games, but I can't do maintenance work. That is beyond my level of skill.

There is no other way to fix this.
All you have to do is the right click on the game folder and select the "rename" option. Then add the word "old" to the name
Then turn on the game to create a new folder.
Check in the game if the light works correctly.
Quit the game.
Find in this new The Sims4 folder two folders - "save" and "Tray - and delete them - (right click on the folder - option "delete")
Find these same folders in the old game folder -( "saves" and Tray ) and copy and paste them to the new one. ( right click on the folder you want to copy- option "copy. Right click on the new game folder - option "paste")
It is not too complicated for a person who can download mods and paste them into the mods folder. Here you also need to copy and paste but not mods but this time folders.
If the game is working correctly right click on the folder "The Sims4 old" - and delete it.
