TS4 crashes before main menu

Question

Hi, I saw a lot of posts with the same issue but they all asked individual posters to share their dxdiag file or something, so I thought I should ask for help individually.

I just downloaded The Sims 4 on Steam, and when I tried to launch it, the app would glitch a lot, like the screen flickers. Then, it would suddenly crash. I can't play the game at all and I'm not sure what's wrong. I verified the integrity of the game files and it says everything is good.

I had a similar issue with Dragon Age: II and Dragon Age: Inquisition where they require EA (bought through Steam), and they both crash a few seconds after I open them or give Direct X error. It seems that the only games that don't work for me, are those that require EA. So if I could get some help with that as well, I'd be grateful.

Please help me find a solution! I'm not tech savvy at all.

d0lmaro&nbsp; I would absolutely like to see a dxdiag from this computer.&nbsp; (And I know someone who might be able to help with the Dragon Age games as well, if we get to that point.)&nbsp; Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop. &nbsp;From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
