Thanks for the time to look into this, puzzlezaddict.
I did a search in File Explorer for TS4_x64, and there is only one instance of this file which lives here: F:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\The Sims 4\Game\Bin
I do have the option to uninstall the 35 GB version that I see in Apps and Features - should I try this (after renaming everything "Sims 4" in the documents folder? Not sure why would I have to go into the registry (if I understand you correctly) to get rid of the first install?
As you can see, the 21.6GB file references the April patch while the 35 GB file has the same icon as the game launcher which confuses me as naturally, I would lean towards uninstalling the one with the game icon.
I do have ~14 EPs installed as well.
Any more thoughts on this?
@Secretglittergal What I was saying was, there may not be a second copy of Sims 4 at all, that the second version you're seeing may not exist except as a set of registry entries. This would be leftover data that makes your computer think you have a second install when you don't. That's what I meant about deleting registry data. It's like having a log of the install but not the install itself.
Renaming the Sims 4 folder in Documents > Electronic Arts won't help unless you somehow installed the game there at one point. I doubt you have, and you can confirm by comparing the program files you see on F with the Sims 4 folder in Documents. There shouldn't be any overlap in the contents of these two folders.
