Please manually uninstall Origin, then download the latest version of Origin and run the installation again. After this when starting Origin, please make sure to run it as Admin (right click Origin shortcut, go to Properties - Compatibility and tick the 'Run this program as Admin' box). Also please reset your Windows Hosts files to default.

    Hi!

    Thanks for your suggestion, unfortunately I've tried it to no avail - in fact, I decided to completely reformat and reinstall Windows and download Origin and The Sims 4 only to have the same problem.
