Unable to connect to EA servers to activate Sims 4

It seems like its been a long time that the servers have been down because I just got that messaget too. I can't even contact EA because they don't ring outside of USA and Canada and I'm in the UK. If someone gets an update, would it be possible to just post it on here please?

    There is something going wrong with connecting to the gallery. The Sims team is aware of this and is working on it.
    Please try opening and closing the gallery a few times.
