Unable to load Sims 4/Spinning Plumbob of Death
Hello there, I've been having issues loading my Sims 4 game. This issue has been reoccurring since the latest SDX drop. I removed all my mods and still get the spinning plumbob of death after I click on my family legacy play on the main menu. I used to be able to get on the world map but now, after clicking the household, I still get stuck, loading endlessly even after 15-20 minutes have passed. 😞
I even uninstalled the game and reinstalled it, multiple times. I have also tried clearing out the cache by removing the 'localthumbcache.package' from my EA/Sims 4 folder. I have noticed however that my 'Cache' folder is empty, when I've read online that it should have some sort of file in it. Could my game be corrupted?
My laptop used to run Sims 4 relatively fine, except for the past few days this issue has started happening post the recent SDX drop. I've attached a 'DxDiag' file, and I hope it helps.
Thank you and happy Simming.
@Paprika-Saffron For the save itself, try recovering a backup version:

If you can't load your main household, try a different household instead just to see whether it works.
The driver for your computer's graphics chip is a few years old, so it's a good idea to update. Lenovo doesn't offer a newer driver, but Intel does:
You'll want the latest driver, not the slightly older beta. Run the installer as an admin: right-click on the download and select "Run as administrator." Restart your computer afterwards and before trying to play.
