Unable to progress in Blast from the Past event…

Just checking, I got past that, but my game randomly froze after that part, your sims are working and walking around before you go to the park? (restarting my game and possibly my pc fixed it)

Only direct suggestion, is if you haven't restarted your computer to do that. Then check to ensure your Sims4 files are good from the EA or Steam client.

Thanks for getting back to me. I tried switching to a different save file and was able to progress as normal. I’ve come to the conclusion that my last save file must’ve been corrupted at some point. I’m not sure if there’s a way to fix a corrupt save. I’ll just have to make sure I don’t visit Magnolia Blossom park in that particular save game until the next update. 

Update, in the save file that allowed me to meet Emit, my sims can no longer interact with any computer to perform any action  so the next set of ‘missions’ are now unavailable to me 😂😂 honestly, it’s laughable at this stage!
