Unable to progress in Blast from the Past event…

I was excited to be able to start the most recent Blast from the Past event but I’ve been unable to progress past the task of looking for Emit in Magnolia Blossom park (4th task). I cannot load into ...

Just checking, I got past that, but my game randomly froze after that part, your sims are working and walking around before you go to the park? (restarting my game and possibly my pc fixed it)

Only direct suggestion, is if you haven't restarted your computer to do that. Then check to ensure your Sims4 files are good from the EA or Steam client.
