This issue is not fixed. I just ran into it today, and my game is patched fully. The same is happening to me that other people are describing, no option to work on presentation while in the communications major because the board is for the wrong class.

I repaired my game after I downloaded the patch, but come to think about it, my sim did get the board before the patch. That probably is the issue.
Just FYI for any players who come here. You can't buy a new board but do some studying, and your sim should have no issue getting an A in that class anyway.

If the board issue you're having hasn't been fixed with patch 1.59.73, could you create a new bug report and fill in the bug template that pop-ups please? The information asked in those can help with looking into these issues.
