Hi, I just got a brand new gaming laptop which is more than capable to support and run sims for a long time. I spent all of yesterday re downloading sims as I could no longer run it on my old laptop. I have a new windows laptop so there’s should be no issues with my GPU. It was my first time running sims on this laptop. My graphics card seems to be fine as it runs other stuff perfectly
I have a republic of gamers laptop

battlari12 0peppyt You can ignore the unrecognized GPU message, which has no practical effect on the game—it just means the GPU isn't in the database and the game therefore doesn't know what graphics profile to apply. You'll see ultra graphics settings by default, which you can change if you want but don't have to.
If you do want to get it recognized, please post the graphics info from Config.log, in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4, from about 30 to 40 lines down.
