abb9639a52c44728 Try clearing the EA App's cache:

and repairing the game (EA App > Sims 4 > Manage > Repair). That would give you the updated version, and it should also fix the kind of issue that would make the EA App think your game isn't updated when it already is.
If this doesn't help, please post a screenshot of the error, or any message you see from the EA App, for reference.
