Every time I try and update my Sims 4, it says the update is queued and then nothing happens?? The download queue also says there are no active tasks. This also happens if I try and download an expansion pack.
Try cleaning the Origin Cache files:

I Had The same problem when I was trying to update my game.
My Problem was solved when I first canceled the update, turned on 'automatically update game' in the settings, turned off the computer and later turned it on again. The update started downloading as soon as I logged in.
