Upgraded to dual monitors and Sims 4 wont play

Desperate help please I'm completely baffled and google is not helpful. Sims 4 on PC

I recently upgraded from a single monitor to a dual monitor setup. Sims worked just fine until I made the switch (same day switch)

Now when I launch the game both screens blink back like its loading then its minimized on the task bar and when I hover over the icon its a white screen and the only option is 'restore' which does nothing. Steam games work with zero issues.

I have tried:

unplugging one monitor, Ive tried the turning off one monitor on the NVIDIA control panel, restarted the app, tried loading it on the other monitor, I have the monitors set as 1 and 2 and I can toggle between them.

Literally baffled and desperate for help
