Chanelle23 That is definitely an odd issue to have. Does it still happen if you disconnect all peripherals except for the mouse? That would include headphones, an external drive, anything at all.
If it does help, try your other peripherals one at a time, restarting your laptop after each test, and let me know what the problem is. Either way, please provide a dxdiag too. Hit Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop. From there, you can attach it to a reply using the camera (Insert Media) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

I keep this laptop for just playing Sims4 so there’s nothing else plugged in or running from it except 1 wireless mouse and the charging lead. Someone else suggested that I should clear the ea cache too .. so after 3 attempts at running the game and 3 attempts at windows repair then clearing the cache then relaunching the game it has actually run no problems this time so far but it’s only been an hour so watch this space!!!
