Verifying game files

my origin keeps saying verifying game files for my sims 4 and i cant play it online or off line even if i cancel it

    thanks for trying to help but i dont think its gonna work on here any more i have a portable harddrive with the sims 4 on it and the game works on my grandpas computer so ill juts hae to wait to play until i get my new pc once again thanks for trying
