Unable to go to plots

When i start a new game (or load), i can get no further but to make a sim and chose a plot. But when it loads the plot it's just stuck there on the loading screen. I've tried waiting, but it can stand there for hours.

I've tried deleting and installing the game again, but i doesn't work.

If this doesn't help, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

It works removing the folder out of documents, now i just don't have any of my CC?

  • linec2007  Right, your custom content is stored in the folder you moved, which is part of the test: you tried playing with no extra content at all.  Now you've established that the game works fine with none of your old content, so the problem is something in the old folder.

You can test your mods and cc in the new folder, a few files at a time or with the 50/50 method:

    https://modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Finding_Problem_Custom_Content#The_50.25_Method

Keep in mind you may have more than one broken file—finding the first one doesn't mean the others are fine.  So test everything at least once.

When you've sorted through your mods and cc, you can move over your saves and Tray files, plus Screenshots and Recorded Videos if you care about those, and Options.ini if you don't want to redo your in-game options.  The other files can be discarded; the game will regenerate them as necessary.

It works perfectly fine now, thanks. But it wasn't any of my mods, i've got them all on now, and it works.
