weird loud audio loop in game

hi, i’ve never had an issue since today. i logged onto the sims 4 and i noticed this music playing (only on sims) and when it would stop, it would play again about another minute later. i took off all my mods and turned down my audio and it seems to still be playing. im not too sure how to stop this. thanks if anyone could help 🙂

i think i got it to work. someone suggested on steam to click shift+tab, after i did that, i looked around and saw "music" turned that down and back to default and it seemed to be good again!!

  • @nikkizurr  What music is it, for example is it what you'd hear in Build/Buy or from a radio?  Does this happen in all game modes (live, Build/Buy, Manage Worlds, Main Menu), or just some?

hi, i hear it when i first load into the game, in game, build.buy, on everything. the only time i dont hear it is when i exit the game.

i'm not too sure how it started.. i disabled all mods, even uninstalled the game with 0 dlc's and it still happened. hopefully i can somehow fix it. thanks! 🙂

@nikkizurr  As a test, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just let me know whether you can still hear the music when it shouldn't be playing.
