Ok so my game is lagging badly. I assumed I downloaded some faulty mod so I went to move my mods from yesterday into another folder but accidentally put them in my main sims 4 folder and now i have no idea what the base folders or mod folders are??? my files dont let me go back either. Sorry for bothering but i genuinely cant find anything on what the base files are😭

Alternately, you can remove the entire Sims 4 folder, open the game to create a new one, and move over only the subfolders you want to keep: saves, Tray, Mods, possibly Screenshots and Recorded Videos, maybe Custom Music, plus the Options.ini file for your in-game settings. The game will recreate the rest, and all those other files and folders are fully replaceable.
