What's happening with Origin?

Not two days ago I contacted EA to remove the Sims 4 legacy edition from my game library because my game kept defaulting to 32 bit even though I had it saved to run 64 bit (my PC CAN run 64 bit). They did remove it, because it's no longer listed in my library, but...but...Legacy Edition keeps loading in like it was never deleted and the game defaults to it instead of the setting I SAVED from previous plays every time I open origin. On top of that, Origin doesn't always give me the option of changing it from 32 to 64 bit in the drop down box. I don't know how to fix this issue at this point. Am I just going to have to repair my game and hope for the best EVERY time I wanna play? What am I actually meant to do?

Rightclick the game in Origin and select game Properties. On the Advanced Tab select 64bit instead of Legacy. OK out and in the future the standard version (64bit) will load when you start the game.

There are no settings in the game that can save as either 32 bit or 64 bit.

If Legacy was uninstalled or not installed in the first place there will be no options to change between the two.

  • That is what I have been doing, friend. The problem is that every time I open origin to play the game it defaults to the 32 bit. I've changed it in the advanced settings multiple times (when the option was actually available) and it still defaults to the 32 bit Legacy Edition like its still there even though it was supposedly deleted from my library.

  • Because when the game loads in its the 32 bit Legacy version. I know because DU and EL are not listed on the main screen even though I have purchased those. I do check every time. Sometimes the launch settings do give me the option to change it, sometimes it does, but it resets every time I close the game/origin even though I save those settings.
