when i load my game i can't click anything

This hasn't been a problem since I installed the patch and the holiday extras

When I open up my family, it loads like usual then it opens my lot, but the entire bottom hub is gone and i can't click any buttons. I can click on furniture and stuff like that but nothing happens when i click it. The game isn't frozen because i can still move around the screen, it's just that clicking does nothing. None of the buttons at the top do anything (camera, options, etc) so I just force quit my Sims game using task manager. I'm not sure what to do.

    Are you using any mods in your game ? If so, remove them and check if it works then.

    that's it!!! i removed one particular mod that was doing it, and now it works fine!! :D :D thank you!!!

    Hey Crinrict!

    I was wondering if you could help my daughter out.  We just purchased the Limited Edition The Sims4.  We tried downloading it on a computer and 2 laptops.  We had to download Origins first.  On the first laptop, it kept taking us to the original Origins site.  We had established my daughter's account.  That's about it.  The game still didn't download.  Went to our ol' reliable computer.  It was also unable to download.  Now we are on my laptop, which I don't like to do with kid's games, as to it is my work computer, but I was desperate.  We got to the part where we put in her code for the game and then pressed download.  It stated it couldn't download the game.  What the heck?  Not sure what to do now.  My daughter is really upset.

    Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
