@Sims4DisneyStuff Are you playing in fullscreen mode or windowed fullscreen? Games running in exclusive fullscreen don't always react well to being minimized, although the bad outcomes can be random or influenced by other factors. Try switching to windowed fullscreen or even windowed mode before alt-tabbing to another app or minimizing the game.

@Sims4DisneyStuff Like I said, many games react badly to being minimized while in fullscreen mode, and it's not always clear when or why the bad outcomes happen. It's possible that this particular lot is more graphically demanding than the others you play, or that it has a particular feature that's triggering this reaction. You could tear down the entire lot trying to figure out why if you're curious or if it bothers you that much.
But you already know what's going to happen if you minimize the game while playing this lot in fullscreen mode. So the easiest fix is to not do that. You can switch to windowed fullscreen before you want to minimize the game, or just play that way normally if it's easier. You might never notice any difference in gameplay.
