Which of these pcs can run Sims 4/3 at max settings?

Hi

I have two computers I'm interested in. Which one should I go for to play Sims 3 and 4 smoothly at max settings with all packs.

PC 1:

Intel I7 860. 2.80GHz
8GB RAM Dual Channel
Nvidia GTX 1060 6gb
gigabyte motherboard
Windows 10
Antec Nine Hundred Case
Xilence 600 Watt PSU

PC 2:

Be quiet! System Power 9 400W

Gigabyte GA-A320M-H - Moederbord

AMD Ryzen 3 3200G - Processor

Kingston A2000 500 GB - Solid state drive

Crucial CT16G4DFD8266 - Geheugen

Sharkoon S1000 - Midtowermodel

Definitely PC2. Better everything except graphics card. Integrated Graphics cards aren't ideal for Sims, so if you can add that 1060 into PC 2, that would be great.

16 GB RAM is good enough, but if you have all packs, I'd still suggest you to expand to 32 GB. Sims 4 can be memory hogger and as I wrote, DDR4 are very cheap right now.

You may also consider CPU upgrade for future, but that's up to you. If you only play Sims and don't do heavy multitasking while playing, 3200G should still be enough.

How much RAM the second PC have?

But anyway, Sims 4 is not very HW heavy game. Still, if you can, put the graphics card from PC 1 to PC2 and expand RAM to at least 16 GB, ideally 32, though (DDR4 RAM modules are ridiculously cheap right now, so take a use of that) and it's decent PC not only for Sims 4, but for other older games too.

Sims 3, however, well, you should be able to run it, but I doubt there is PC on this planet that can run the game with all packs without lags.

The second one has 16gb of ram. That computer has a built in gpu, but I can add the gtx 1060 to that one. Should I go for pc 1 or 2?

You're a hero for responding to my post! Thank you! Would I really be able to run Sims 3/4 fully at max settings?

Sims 4, I am sure you shouldn't have issues.

Sims 3, as much as I love that game, I have to say that it is unoptimised mess and you can have the best gaming PC ever and Sims 3 with all packs still wouldn't run smoothly on it. There are some tutorials on the net to get the game smoother, but still, there will always be issues and those issues, usually, aren't HW related.

  • @peno11 Yes, I know exactly how to handle Sims 3 with the guide I found online don't worry 🙂

I would like to thank you again for your help. Thank you so much! :D
