This is my first time posting and I have tried the other resolutions offered here with no solution. Every time I tab out of my game, my game displays the white screen that I am not able to click out of unless I force close. I play in windowed mode and I use SRWE. This started occurring 3 days ago. Would appreciate any help given! My dxdiag is attached below!
cozysaraheliza What happens if you don't use SRWE? I realize you might want to in general, but it's a useful test. And of course you can play in windowed mode at 1440p if you want without any outside program. You can also test running SRWE but not using it to change the in-game resolution.
blksanriomame Sorry for the late reply; I've been away from the forums for a couple days. Does this happen if you don't use SRWE? What about if you play in DirectX 11 mode? I ask because all the Sims 4 errors in your dxdiag are from DX9 mode.
Aside from those errors, I don't see anything concerning in your dxdiag. And the type of error you're getting is too generic to be useful on its own: it can point to a graphics driver issue or a corrupt save or any number of other problems with the system or the game.
Hello! I am somewhat of a content creator and I use the program SRWE to take better quality screenshots. I've recently changed monitors to a 4k and changed my in-game resolution back to 1440p. But the game becomes unresponsive when I changed display types. I even change my opinions.ini file to force windows mode, but using SRWE to mimic a different resolution makes it unresponsive as well. If I move my opinions.ini file to my desktop and launch the game to generate a new file, I get stuck at the sims 4 opening loading screen. I've searched everywhere, changed many things. Nothing works.
