Why aren't my packs connecting to steam?
Why arent my downloaded packs connecting to steam?
I can't seem to get my packs to cooperate. I originally played sims through the EA launcher, then I saw sims 4 was now available on my main game launcher of Steam. So i redownloaded (?) the game with steam (not sure why it had to redownload) but now when i launch the game, I only get like 3 of my packs. when i try to launch through ea again, it forces launching through steam. according to "manage add ons" in EA app, all my packs are downloaded (though it says my first pets can only be managed through steam??) and when I launch the game, it forces it to launch through steam and only has like 3 of my 22 packs. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling twice now, tried telling it to repair game files, tried clearing the cache, nothing works. HOW DO I GET MY PACKS BACK??? help please!!
@djjiahn Steam can't add your EA-owned packs, but it can and will load them in-game IF those packs are installed into the Steam base game's folder. So what you need to do here is uninstall the EA App version of Sims 4, then download only your packs (but not a second copy of the base game) through the App. You should be able to do this through your game library, by clicking Sims 4 > Manage > Manage add-ons.
