Why Cant I Play Sims 4 on more then one device at given time ?

Hi I purchased Sims 4 for PC with the Mac Download, I have installed the game on my windows PC and also on my Daughters Mac. Both my children wish to play when i attempt to open the game on both computers i get the message that it's already logged in on another device, i created a second account for my son under the self created illusion that would obviously solve the problem. this however has not corrected the issue, I am a little perplexed as to why i am struggling, as i paid for the privilege, i bought the right to play the game why is this restricting the number of games being played at anyone time. Any help to resolve this hiccup would be greatly appreciated.

  • It's one license per account, so that's why you can't play on both devices at the same time.

You could go in offline mode for one of the devices, which would mean one of the children can't connect to the online gallery (if you need an excuse, it has mature content and is usually disabled for the legal age limit).

If both kids want to go online I suggest buying another license.

@ozzziozzie First you do not purchase the "privilege" to play the game, you pay for a license to use the software. You need to read the EULA (end user license agreement) that you agree to when you install the game. Licensing software is not new. Most of your games and operating systems and commercial software have had license agreements for a long time. The games DRM (digital rights management) is in the form of Origin for Sims 4. Origin controls piracy much like Valve's Steam. Only one user at a time per account. The Sims games are not multi user. One user using the software at a time satisfies the conditions of the license.
