Why does the ea app have so many issues & bugs?

 & other gaming companies like steam don't?  ex games failing to launch.  I can't play sims 4 right now because of an error on their end. The steam app would never. I already tried all suggestions online & submitted a ticket etc. Nothing works. What if it never gets fixed & the few $100 I spent on sims 4 is wasted. This failure to launch a game problem shouldn't exist. Period.
