why does the free holiday celebration pack charge you?

@HoneyTheHammy  Just to make sure, please check your order history on ea.com.  Open Origin, hover over your username, and select EA Account and Billing; this will take you to an ea.com page with all your account information.  Click on the Order History tab, and see what shows up.  There have been cases recently where Origin put an owned pack on someone's order without their noticing.

Whether or not this is the case for you, you'll need to contact EA customer support and ask for help.
