Won't let me download game from website or app

I've tried both the website and the EA app on my laptop and neither will work. EA app says I have to subscribe to ea play to play sims but from what I've read online it says you don't need too? EA ...

Hello TOOORI123​,

the base game of Sims 4 is free to play, so as long as that's the one you're trying to play, you shouldn't be having issues.

Did you previously play the game using an EA Play subscription?

Could you try emptying the EA app cache and try again after that to see if that helped?
