[FAQ] The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection - Ended (July 31)

Hi. See, I've been having this trouble for so long. When I was younger I bought The Sims 2 Seasons because I thought we could play it without the base game. When I was going to play it, I couldn't obviously. I never really got the chance to play the Sims 2 in my computer. I've played in my friends' but it's not the same. I'd really like to have the Ultimate Collection. Could you help me out? Thank you! 😕mileyhappy:

I was able to download Ultimate with no problems. My question is if I can move my old sim files into Ultimate.

I've read around that replacing files won't work if you had ever downloaded the Store Edition before.

I thought when I installed my old expansion packs in the past that I unchecked Store Edition so it wouldn't install, but I guess I must have done so since moving files doesn't seem to work. I backed up all my old files before, of course, when I upgraded computers. So I was able to move my old neighborhoods onto my new computer earlier this year. I was just wondering if maybe I did something wrong, or is it just not possible to play old neighborhoods into Ultimate?

Also just to clarify, I did uninstalled all my previous Sims 2 games before installing Ultimate.

i dont have sims 2 digital copy can i still get sims 2 ultimate collection and also i signed up for the sims 4 demo can you tell me if i can get a copy i would really like to play the demo until i can buy it sept. 2

At this time, all Origin customers who had previously registered their copy of The Sims 2 should now have the newly remastered The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection in their Origin My Games library.

We know that there are a lot of fans of The Sims who may not have had their copy of the game registered on Origin, and we want to reward The Sims fans for their incredible loyalty and commitment to the franchise.

As a result, we are developing an easy way for any eligible customer who owns a physical disc copy of The Sims 2 to upgrade easily to the new Ultimate Collection edition. We will update this article on or before Wednesday July 23 at 10am PT, with detailed instructions on what you need to do to get your own copy of The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection.
