Sims 2 glitched load up screen

Sims 2 was working okay the other day with errors such as crashing after creating a family and my game would just randomly crash lol. I updated it today and now the load up screen will glitch my screen like half-way. It's like a weird red static. I restarted my computer and tried again to launch it but still the screen glitched. I can launch sims 4 and sims 3.
