Sims Legacy Crashes on Launch

I have tried various ways to fix the issue (the ones suggested) however none of them have worked. I have requested a refund  as i think EA should release a game that works on launch and i shouldn't need an IT degree to make it work. 

Does anyone know if EA is planning to fix this or has even acknowledged this. I'd like to download it again when it works :)
