Sims medieval wont download

Every time i try to download sims medieval it says “Error package was not installed properly” i’ve tried clearing the ea app cache but it still won’t work. I don’t know if i’m just stupid or not lol but i can’t figure it out

    Hi i tried doing the first solution and it didn’t work i also tried the second one but it didn’t work either i was wondering if there’s any other options or if the games a lost cause haha sorry for the late reply

  • katiejross​  Since it's a long weekend and EA_Solaire might not be around for a day or two, I have a suggestion you could try in the interim: a repair install of Windows.  The point is that for some reason, the installation of one or more VC++ runtimes is failing, and that might be a more general system issue rather than a problem with the runtimes.

    A repair install doesn't delete your data (when done properly), it just refreshes the OS files.  The idea is to address a number of potential causes of this problem at once.  Here's how to do it:

    If you get to step 14 and are NOT asked to keep personal files and apps, back out and start over.
