The Sims 1 won't launch – tried everything
The Sims won't launch – the screen flashes, and EA App opens again. I tried clearing the cache in the app and resolving compatibility issues in the game files, but nothing helps.

Same here, I knew this was to good to be true. Ill give it 24 hours.
Me as well, sims 2 anniversary runs no issues, sims 1 will not start up flashes to a blank screen and just goes back to desktop
I'm so sad but I'll drown my sorrows in the sims 2 for now, hope it'll work tomorrow. <3
Same issue. I got so excited to play this today and relive my childhood, only to find out that I've spent nearly £18 to just see the EA app

Same , I’ve spent the last two hours trying every single thing i can understand on the Internet to try and solve it. At least I’m not alone T_T
The things I read to try haven't worked either 😭
So sad the Sims 1 won't launch, but the sims 2 is ok. So how does this get resolved?
