Activewear replacing everyday wear

There's a glitch where for some sims when you select activewear it completely replaces their everyday outfit. I've been able to successfully select activewear for some sims without affecting their regular clothes, but not all. Does this happen to anyone else?

Not exactly but my problem is the Sims change into their swimsuit when they are visiting neighbors towns or they change into a towel while at work. 😂
