Bug: "Check Mail" weekly task not completing

I've seen a handful of posts across here and Reddit over the last several years mentioning this happening to people. My weekly task has been stuck for several days now on "check the mail," even though I tap the icon above the mailbox and collect any rewards. I'm not sure but I think it may have been stuck for longer than a week at this point, so the whole "weekly task" thing might be messed up. I really don't want to spend 10 LP to skip the task.

    Yeah, the weekly timer has now reset but the task is still "check the mail"

    After trying several days without success, I’d ask Online Support for help. In the game tap the three dots at the bottom right ->Info -> Online Support and the the square talk bubble on the upper right.
