Can’t add a new sim

I deleted a sim to make space for a new one, but it still won’t let me add a new sim or create a baby? I’m on level 47, VIP 8. I had 37 sims and after deleting I now have 36, why can’t I add a new on...

    At level 47, VIP 8 you should be able to have 32 sims in your town (if you have not bought additional sims)

    30 sims for level 47, +2 for VIP

    There are frequently an offer to buy additional sims in the special store (I think it's around $100 per sim) so the number can go up

    Not sure you how you can have more sims than 32 without having bought more sims or used an exploit or a mod

    But that is the answer to why you can not add another sim

    Normally you get +1 sim/town at level, base 2 sim, +1 at level 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 30, 32, 34,36, 38, 41, 44, 47, 50, 52, 54 and 55 bringing the total to 34 sims/town

    VIP will add +1 sim per town on level 6, 8, 10 and add +4 at level 15, a total of +7 sims per town at VIP 15

    Total number of sims per town at level 55 and VIP 15 is 41

    In you case, you will not be able to add more sims unless you up your VIP to 10 (when you're on level 55) or buy additional sims when the offer returns

    Or up your VIP to 15 and reach level 52

    Or, right now, if you delete 5 more sims, bringing your total down to 31
