Progress quest

I'm having trouble with the "Lifelong Dreams and Legacies" progress quest. It's right when it asks me to deliver the orb to an elderly Sim.

Town Level: 26

I've completed all previous progress quests.

There are no other pending quests or active timers.

I have an elderly Sim ready (aged with cake), ready to receive the orb.

The orb just won't appear.

I've tried:

Closing and reopening the game several times

Changing lots and returning

Waiting several minutes on the elderly Sim's lot
