CanNot add neighbors on Sims freeplay.

I have tried EVERYTHING!!! I can't add neighbors . I have even uninstalled the app and reinstalled it. I also uninstalled the Facebook app and reinstalled it. The account management keyhole on The Sims freeplay is greyed out and I cannot gain access to my account. I have tried all the things that seem to help other people like clearing the cache, force stopping the apps, shutting down and restarting my Android tablet. Inside Facebook in the game section under Sims FreePlay it says the connection has been lost. I tried reinstalling Facebook to fix the problem it seems to have updated the entire Facebook app and I can no longer find that page. I have added facebook Messenger and made sure my chat applications and Facebook are on and open. I am really at a loss I don't know what else to try please help. My friend has sent me several request but it only takes you to the Play Store. It's an app invite, not a neighbor request. I don't know how to find the neighbor request. I have sent my friend 50 or 60 app invites but we can never get to the neighbor request. I greatly appreciate any assistance.
